Features and Benefits:

  • Heat resistant with high impact strength
  • Good resistance to chemicals
  • Extremely resilient
  • Can be polished to a high gloss.

Application:

  • Required thickness of approximately 500 - 750 gm-² when spread evenly
  • Application should be controlled at 0.4 - 0.6 mm wet film thickness.

  • If left for prolonged periods, Vinylester Gelcoat will cure to an almost tack-free finish, but this has no adverse effect on the adhesion of the backing laminate.

  • Vinylester Gelcoat requires only the addition of catalyst to start the curing reaction.

DO:

-      Keep the workshop temperature, mould and gelcoat between 18 and 20 °C.

  • Stir the Gelcoat before use
  • Brush Gelcoat to ensure air release.
  • Ensure adequate mould ventilation

DON’T:

 -      Exceed a wet film thickness of 0.8 mm or drainage may occur.

  • Allow vapour to be retained in deep mould sections as this will slow the cure process.
